Full replacement of fascias, soffits, guttering, dentil mouldings and boxed eaves detail in Banbury, Oxfordshire
Full replacement preparation
To replicate the original style as closely as possible, we had to undertake some preparatory work before starting the installation on this stunning detached house. We custom-made new dentil blocks to create exact replicas of the existing ones. Once the new blocks arrived, we erected scaffolding over the large conservatory, allowing our fitters to commence the installation.
The roofline of this property features ornate boxed eaves with dentil mouldings. Installing this style of house requires skilled fitters to ensure everything is cut and aligned to perfection.
We removed all the old wooden fascia, soffit, and dentil mouldings in sections. The new ogee fascia boards and tongue and groove soffit boards were carefully fitted to ensure everything was square and perfectly aligned. To maintain the original style, a second fascia board was fitted directly under the soffit and flush with the wall. White deep flow uPVC guttering was installed along with round downpipes.
The bargeboards on the gable ends were fitted with extra trims to replicate the original decorative style, along with the boxed eaves details on the bargeboards where a box end would normally be.
Once the installation of the fascias, soffits, and guttering was completed, the new custom-made dentil mouldings were fitted all around.
For this project, we used:
- White ogee fascia boards
- White tongue and groove soffit boards
- White square fascia boards
- White uPVC deep flow guttering
- Various uPVC trims
- Custom-made dentil mouldings
- Eaves protection boards
- Over fascia ventilation strips
- Bird guard and gutter guard.
